2011-07-27 [AuroraLumos]: Elves aren't really pets in my eyes either... seen as on a lot of fantasy rpgs you can play as an elf/ make friends with elves/ have relationships with them (too much dragon age for me I think but I do so love those games :3)

Pet zombies would be amusing though. Or pet demons, can't see anything wrong with a demon slave haha. I'll stop now before I start getting carried away XD

2011-07-27 [AuroraLumos]: ALSO... considering we're on Elftown having elves as pets seems rather a lot more like slavery than it normaly would be. (I have a feeling that might have been what [Nioniel] was getting at XD)

2011-07-27 [kians mummy]: Yes, very true, I do see your point, but we can do them for exclusive members like, continuous donors so therefore it will be a rare pet. :)

2011-07-27 [Nioniel]: The idea of having "pets" here on ET is a cute one, and has been a successful one when ET was much more active. If you can get some artists willing to create and donate some images of fantasy pets to your wiki, I'm sure that there are many people on the site that would be interested in obtaining them.

However, I disagree with the idea that an Elf can or should be considered a pet. Traditionally, Elves are considered a race, just like Humans, Orcs, Ducks, Trolls, etc. Therefore, the idea of keeping an individual from a race, ie; an Elf, could be considered just as wrong as keeping a Human as a pet. Humans that are considered to be "pets" are often slaves, even in the world of kink.

Keeping fantasy creatures as pets is a cute idea, keeping fantasy races as pets is a bit unconventional and inappropriate.

If you're looking for ideas for fantasy pets, some examples could include creatures from fantasy worlds such as Harry Potter, like
Boggarts
Thestrals
Pygmy Puffs
Nargles,
etc.

Even in the fantasy world of Harry Potter, a House-Elf was considered a slave.
